Text Messaging
Effective date: June 10, 2026 · Last updated: July 7, 2026
These SMS Terms of Service ("SMS Terms") govern the text-messaging program operated by ARI Physical Therapy ("ARI Physical Therapy," "we," "us," or "our"). By providing your mobile number and consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to these SMS Terms. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
ARI Physical Therapy's text-messaging program sends transactional, service-related messages only to patients who have agreed to receive them. We use text messaging to support your care, including:
We do not send marketing, advertising, or promotional text messages through this program.
You are enrolled only after you provide consent. Consent is obtained verbally (in person at our clinic or by phone) when you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages from us. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care or any service from us. You may decline at sign-up or withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 6).
Messages are limited to the categories described in Section 1: appointment reminders, confirmations and scheduling, and patient-care notifications. Messages may come from a phone number or short code associated with our practice or our messaging provider.
From time to time we may also send pre-visit and administrative messages. One example is a secure link to provide documents (such as your insurance card or ID) before your appointment. These are service messages related to your care and scheduling, not marketing.
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. You may also opt out by calling us at (661) 282-8584. After you opt out, we may send one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and we will stop sending texts.
Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us directly at (661) 282-8584 or contactus@ariptcare.com.
If you opt out of text messages, we will continue to contact you about your appointments and care by other means, such as phone or email.
We never share or sell your mobile number or SMS consent. Your mobile information and your opt-in are not shared with or sold to any third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the messaging providers that operate this texting service on our behalf, solely to deliver the messages you've asked to receive.
Our handling of your information is described in full in our Privacy Policy.
Some of our messages may include a link to a secure ARI Physical Therapy web page (for example, to provide your insurance or ID information before your first visit). We will only ever link to our own official websites (ariphysicaltherapy.com or dfo.ariptcare.com). We keep our texts general and will never ask you to send sensitive information, passwords, or payment details by text, and we will never ask for money. Any documents you provide are submitted only through our secure page, never in a text reply. If you are ever unsure whether a message is really from us, call us at (661) 282-8584.
Standard SMS text messages are not encrypted and are not a fully secure channel. Messages could be seen by anyone with access to your device. To protect your privacy, we keep our messages general and avoid including detailed clinical or sensitive health information. Please do not include sensitive personal or medical details in your replies. If you'd prefer we not contact you by text, let us know and we'll use another method.
This is exactly why we collect documents such as your insurance card and ID through a secure upload page rather than by text, so your sensitive information stays protected.
Carriers (including wireless carriers) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Message delivery is on an "as available" basis.
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the updated terms here. Your continued participation in the text-messaging program after an update means you accept the revised terms.
